The Fortnite World Cup Finals take place in June, and with an incredible $30 million prize pool, it’s no surprise that players are fighting tooth and nail to secure a spot in the tournament which takes place in New York.

With World Cup qualifiers taking place every week in the build up to the tournament, two of the game’s biggest stars did battle in the final day of the sixth week of qualifying, with both attempting to secure entry to the finals in July.

FaZe ClanTfue and Cloak were attempting to secure qualification to July’s World Cup Finals.

Ninja takes down Tfue in Fortnite World Cup Qualifying

With Week 6 giving teams of two the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup, Tfue teamed up with longtime FaZe duo Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lapore, while Ninja renewed his partnership with Malachi ‘Reverse2K’ Greiner, with both squads desperate to finally earn their place in New York City.

Not only did the two teams end up in the same game, but during the sixth match of their 10 match session, Ninja and Tfue actually faced off, with only one able to stand tall over the other.

With Ninja sitting on the high ground, and Tfue built into a box, it looked like a slow and methodical battle was on the way. But when Tfue stepped too close to a window in his hiding spot, Ninja rattled off three pinpoint shots with a Hunting Rifle to knock the FaZe Clan player, using Dynamite to put him down for good.

While Ninja wasn’t streaming the qualifier, we were able to see Tfue’s reaction to the battle, who was clearly stunned that the former Halo pro was even able to see him there, never mind take him out.

“What! He’s got an angle on me?” a frustrated Tfue told Cloak. “They’re dynamite spamming. It’s fucking Ninja, dude. Oh my god.”

This isn’t the first time that Tfue and Ninja have locked horns, with Ninja taking some hilarious shots at Tfue following a battle in the game’s Arena Mode.

Referencing a video uploaded by the FaZe Clan player, Ninja stated he was making his elimination of Tfue his “video title,” and was planning on making his thumbnail to show him knocking Tfue out.

Did Ninja and Tfue qualify for the Fortnite World Cup?

While Ninja may have gotten the better of Tfue in this exchange, neither of them managed to secure a place at the World Cup Finals, falling short in Week 6.

Ninja and Reverse2K came closest to sealing qualification, winning three of their 10 games to finish on 86, missing out by just two points in seventh place. Tfue and Cloak finished 13th, securing 81 points across the final day of Week 6.

While the FaZe Clan duo are yet to seal their place in July’s finals, Tfue knows that he’ll be there, as he qualified for the Solo portion of the tournament back in Week 3.
