Leaked skins and cosmetics from Fortnite Season 2 update

After a very long first season of Fortnite Chapter 2, the longest season ever in fact, Season 2 is finally here. With the update rolling out across the world, data miners have found lots of new skins and cosmetics coming to the battle royale.

The new season has a gold theme, which was strongly hinted at in the teasers, and the battle pass skins have been revealed officially in a new promotional image.

One of the most exciting skins is Deadpool, yet another crossover with the Marvel franchise.

Each update to Fortnite often brings lots of new cosmetic items, which will be added to the store, and with a new season, there’s even more than normal.

Leakers HYPEX and xkleinmikex have posted a series of unreleased skins discovered in the game files early.

Throughout Season 2, skins from the battle pass will apparently have two different styles, either Ghost or Shadow. This will change their appearance in-game, so one skin becomes two.

There’s also a set of all-gold skins. It remains to be seen if these skins will need to be earned or unlocked in a special way.

Another new skin is described by the leakers as ‘fully customizable. We’re not sure yet how this will work, or if there will be more skins like this one.

Leaked Pickaxes

In addition to all the new skins, there are other cosmetics too. Pickaxes are a must in Fortnite, and there are new wraps and gliders too.

These are just some of the new items we can expect to see in Season 2. As more updates drop in the coming weeks and months, we can be sure that Epic will keep adding even more.

Players did complain about a lack of content in the first season of Chapter 2, though this was partly because of a number of delays, which resulted in the new season being pushed back to February 20.
