The v9.40 update for Fortnite is now live, and data miners have already found a number of new skins, gliders, pickaxes, and more that will be added to the popular battle royale game in the future.
The v9.40 update included two brand-new variants of the Tactical Shotgun, alongside a host of bug fixes and weapon balancing changes that they hope will provide a more balanced playing experience for fans.
Also included in the v9.40 update files were cosmetic items, added by Epic Games, which will eventually be added to the in-game store and made available to purchase by players who want to switch up their look.
Cosmetic items are added to the game in one batch, and hidden away inside the files so that players can’t see them before Epic decides to put them live.
This is rarely the case though, with data miners searching through the update files the moment they are released, looking for new skins that players could be rocking in a few days
As always, just because Epic have added a cosmetic into the game’s files doesn’t mean we are guaranteed to ever be able to purchase it, as they have added skins to Fortnite in the past that have never been officially released.
After weeks of content updates, the v9.30 update includes a host of brand new cosmetic items, and you can take a look at them all below.
