Leaked Dark Bomber Skin found in Fortnite’s V5.41 files – Does it support the Season 6 cube theory?

It looks like rumors about Fortnite’s ‘Brite Bomber’ skin getting a darker counterpart were right on the money as more ‘Dark Bomber’ evidence has been discovered.

According to a new leak from from the well known @FNBRLeaks data mining account on Twitter, it looks like the Dark Bomber skins is currently a work-in-progress and more information will be released in a future patch.

The leak shows a “F_MED_Commando_Dark_Bomber” file with only one texture currently available, but it still serves to fuel one of the ongoing theories about the mysterious purple cube that has been moving around the map in recent weeks.

The first hint of a Dark Bomber skin came when players noticed something strange in the Week 9 bonus loading screen for Week 9 of the Road Trip.

The image shows a Brite Bomber character touching the cube and seeing a reflection of a darker version of the skin on the cube’s surface.

While nobody was able to confirm what this loading screen might mean, one massive leak on 4chan suggested that loot lake will be wiped out when the cube arrives at it, creating a dark hole or portal.

That portal would, if the leak is correct, act as a gateway to a “dark version of the world” and a number of dark versions of skins could also be released in celebration of it.

The fact that the first skin to get the dark treatment in a loading screen now seems to have a Dark Bomber version on the horizon certainly adds credence to the dark world theory – or at least something similar!

With Season 5 due to end on September 25, and another patch also expected to be released on that day, we could well find out everything we want to know about the Dark Bomber in a week’s time.
