The latest Code Red tournament will be featuring Fortnite and a $15,000 prize pool, which in terms of Fortnite winnings is just a drop in the pond but this is still a hefty chunk of change.

On top of that, some of the biggest names in competitive Fortnite will be making an appearance here so it’s sounding like it’ll be a good one.

Rules and format

If you haven’t tuned into a Code Red tournament before the rules can be a bit confusing. Luckily, we have what you need to know.

Keep in mind these are the rules for the qualifiers that take place on September 10, but if they differ from the main event, we will switch in the new rules.

How To Win

You deploy as a Duo with your teammate. Your goal as a Duo is to get five (5) team games with the highest number of kills. You will be able to play in as many games as you want, but only your five (5) highest kill games (as a team) will count. Note that average placement is the first tiebreaker.

  • Only your Top 5 games count towards your score
  • Kills = 1 point
  • Note: Two (2) Duos from this Qualifier will be invited to the Main Event!

Registration

  1. Select “Register Now”
  2. Login with your streaming account. You must be streaming from this registered account for the duration of the qualifier.
  3. Select your platform (PC, PS4 or XB1)
  4. Input your Epic username
  5. Invite your teammate
  6. Join the BoomTV Official Discord
  7. If you have any questions, contact an Admin in our Discord!

In-Game Settings / Streaming Rules

  • Your entire team must be streaming on Twitch, Mixer or YouTube.
  • You must have VODs/past broadcasts stored so you have a recording of your gameplay for this qualifier.
  • If you do not have VODs/past broadcasts stored, you will be disqualified.
  • You need to be registered on boom.tv
  • No cheating. If caught cheating, you and your teammates will be disqualified and banned from playing in all BoomTV events.
  • You can use controllers on PC.

While it’s not quite the same level of a Friday Fortnite, it’s still sure to bring in thousands of viewers.
