Here’s How to Get Fortnite’s Boogie Down Emote For Free

Matt Porter

Fortnite’s ‘Boogie Down’ emote is now available for everyone to get their hands on. But, unlike most other emotes, this one won’t set you back any of those precious V-Bucks.

The good news is that the emote is available for free, right now inside the game. All it takes to unlock it is to enable Two-Factor Authentication on your account.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication is easy, simply head over to epicgames.com/fortnite and sign in. Then, hover over your username in the top right corner and select “Account” from the list that will appear. Finally, click on “Password and Security”, and select “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”.

Once you have completed those steps, you should be able to claim the new Boogie Down emote, and equip it through the Locker screen in-game. Here’s a preview of the emote in game, courtesy of TmarTn.

Two-Factor Authentication is an extra layer of security that can help prevent your Fortnite account from being accessed by someone else.

Professional Fortnite player FaZe Tfue recently fell foul to hackers, when he lost access to all of his social media accounts.

By adding a reward for players who enable 2FA on their account, Epic Games are hoping that players will be encouraged to protect themselves, and get a new emote in return.

The free Boogie Down emote is one of many changes that came with the V5.30 update on August 23. Along with the new dance, Epic have added the new Rift-to-Go item which allows players to teleport into a rift which opens directly above them, and have also added new challenges which allow players to unlock a new Tomato Head skin.

The Boogie Down emote is available right now, so go and dance on your way to a Victory Royale!
