Fortnite Battle Royale players have been tasked with a wide variety of different quests in the past, whether it’s eliminating enemies in certain locations or interacting with new features, but the highest points of the map will have to be conquered in Week 6, Season 8’s challenges.

Data miners initially leaked the next set of Fortnite challenges that people will soon have to grind through and now the new list has been announced by Epic Games. Players are going to have to visit the five highest elevations on the island.

As many players will already be aware, these high spots are scattered right across the map, with some sitting closer to others. So, let’s take a look at where you’re going to have to visit this week…

What are the five highest elevations on the Fortnite island?

We have assembled a quick and easy map that you can follow to locate each of the five highest points as quick as possible.

Here’s the top five highest elevation points in Fortnite, to help complete the Week 6, Season 8 challenge.

As seen in the graphic above, the highest locations can be found in the west, southwest and northeast sections of the map.

One of the more obvious high locations is the brand new volcano point of interest, which was added at the beginning of Season 8 on February 28, 2019, but other Fortnite destinations include: Polar Peak, a smaller peak near Frosty Flights, as well as two mountain tops between Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park.

Epic GamesPolar Peak is one of the highest elevations in Fortnite Battle Royale and you’ll need to visit there to complete Week 6, Season 8’s challenges.

Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island: Step-by-step guide

This is one of the three free challenges for Week 6, Season 8. Based on where you’re going to need to go, here’s the easiest way to reach all five.

  1. Make a note of the locations you need to visit and keep a lookout for wooden signs at each.
  2. First, land on top of the highest castle Polar Peak.
  3. Use ziplines to travel across to the next peak in the snow biome and stand at the tallest point.
  4. Travel in the direction of Pleasant Park and build ramps to reach one of the two mountain tops.
  5. Move to the other peak using ziplines, a Rift-To-Go or a nearby Quadcrasher.
  6. Travel towards the top of the Volcano to complete the challenge.

These instructions are, of course, in an ideal world where you don’t run into other enemy players. However, it’s worth noting that you don’t have to visit all of them in the same session.

If this proves to difficult a task to do all at once, simply drop at each location one by one every time a new game starts and complete the challenge that way, instead.

What exactly are we looking for at Fortnite’s elevations?

In order to register that you have visited these places, you’re going to need to find and stand next to the small wooden sign that says how high the location is from the floor. Examples of this can be found below, but they’re very easy to find once you’re at the very top of each place.

So, there you have it. We hope that our quick and easy guide allows you to make easy work of this challenges and we’ll be posting a few more guides to help you with others from Week 6, Season 8.

Good luck!

Fortnite leak reveals more classic vehicles returning soon

A fresh Fortnite leak has hinted at the return of some classic vehicles, including the controversial Baller hamster ball and even the ATK Golf Cart.

Back in Fortnite Season 4, Epic Games gave fans of the battle royale a new way to get around the island – a shopping cart. From there, the vehicles in Fortnite have only gotten bigger and better.

Though, they haven’t been without controversy. The Baller, X-4 Stormwing, and Brute Mech were the source of much anger in the Fortnite community because of how powerful they were – with all three prompting exploits where players could easily win games without much legwork.

In Fortnite Chapter 2, a number of different cars have been introduced. They’re not as whacky or powerful as the old vehicles, and while they are helpful, some players do yearn for the Shopping Cart and Quadcrasher’s returns.

Well, according to a handful of new leaks, players might be getting their wish after a few of the older vehicles were given a refresh in the v15.20 patch.

According to Fortnite leakers FNBRUnreleased and InTheShadeYT, the Baller, Hoverboard, and ATK Golf Cart were all updated in the recent patch.

“Ballers and Hoverboard have been also updated! We may see them making a return soon,” FNBRUnreleased posted, while noting that the textures for the ATK Golf Cart were also refreshed. However, there doesn’t seem to be much of a change from the way the ATK’s used to look.

There’s nothing mentioned about when exactly the vehicles could return, but it does seem possible that they could appear in this season. We got the Stormwings back over the holiday period, after all.

Until we see them in-game though, it is worth noting that nothing is confirmed. Epic might have plans to bring them back, but scrap them based on something else that happens – say, they’re not compatible with another item. So, let’s just wait and see.
