New Fortnite Battle Royale leak gives best look yet at Guardians of the Galaxy cosmetics [UPDATED]

A whole selection of new Guardians of the Galaxy cosmetics could be coming soon to the Item Shop in Fortnite Battle Royale, if potentially leaked information is to be believed.

Epic Games’ ties with Marvel seemed to get ever closer when the developer revealed that another in-game event was scheduled for April 25, to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame movie. 

However, there’s a good chance that the pair have much more in the pipeline for players, based on the findings from data miners.

Guardians of the Galaxy skins could be coming soon 

Epic revealed the first Marvel inspired skin for Fortnite on April 25, with the addition of Black Widow, and it seems as if a new cosmetic pack for Guardians of the Galaxy could also be added to the Item Shop in the future.

Fortnite dataminers, FortTory and Lava Leaks, have posted screenshots online of their latest findings on Twitter after browsing through the game’s files. The leaked game files seem to include not only Guardians of the Galaxy, but Interstellar and Broken Light as well – suggesting a much wider selection of cosmetics could be on the way.

First Guardians of the Galaxy pack details leaked

That’s not all, though. One more dataminer, KnapperigeLeaks, has revealed another screenshot which seems to show that the first cosmetic pack would be based around Star Lord, the Guardians character played by Chris Pratt in the movie franchise. 

The files also include what looks to be a description, too. “Star Lords perfect distraction,” it reads, potentially hinting at an audio pack as well.

Not only that, though. What could be our first look at the potentially upcoming Star Lord skin has also been leaked by @HYPEX. 

There has been no official confirmation regarding any upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy inspired content coming to Fortnite Battle Royale as of yet, but we’ll be the first to let you know if the news breaks.

As is the case with any datamine or leaked information, it’s advisable to take all of this with a pinch of salt. There’s a chance that none of this will come to fruition, but it’s certainly something to keep tabs on in the meantime. 

After all, who doesn’t want to drop into Fortnite dressed as Star Lord or Drax the Destroyer, with Groot as a Back Bling?

New images place the Star Lord skin in a pre-game lobby within Fortnite. The full look at the skin seems to also show the Galactic smuggler with a mini-Groot as a small attachment on their backbling.

The new skin is expected to be around the same pricepoint as the Black Widow skin at 1500 V-Bucks when it launches soon.
