Epic Games looks set to add another item to Fortnite Battle Royale and, if potentially leaked information is to be believed, it will be called the Shadow Bomb.
There have been a wide selection of weird and wonderful features added to the battle royale game since it first released in September, 2017, and the game's developer doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down.
Dataminer @HYPEX claims to have found 'Shadow Bomb' in Fortnite's data files, as seen below. There's no indication of what the item will look like, but two pieces of audio for the possible upcoming addition have been leaked as well.
Files that were added in Fortnite's v8.30 content update also state players will soon have to: 'Use a Shadow Bomb in different matches," according to HYPEX. For those who are not familiar with Fortnite's weekly challenges, this is very much the type of description that has been used in the past.
Two audio files were also leaked by @FNBRHQ, which they expect to be used for the new item. These can be found in the clips below.
Whether or not the item will be coming soon, or added to a future set of challenges, is unknown at this time, but there have been suggestions from FNBRHQ that Shadow Bombs could work in a very similar way to Season 4's Hop Rocks.
Players used to be able to use Hop Rocks to move around the map, as they would elevate you in the air to travel.
There has been no confirmation from Epic Games that suggests this leak is accurate as of yet, but do keep your eyes peeled on the 'coming soon' feed in-game. Shadow Bombs could appear any time soon.
