If you’re desperate to know how to complete the Season 8 Week 6 Fortnite challenges, here are some handy guides that will help you earn those Battle Stars.

How to complete the Fortnite Season 8 Week 6 Challenges

Discovery Challenges

Unsurprisingly, Fortnite’s Discovery Challenges continue to rumble on throughout Season 8, and Week 6 will see players on the lookout for a secret banner rather than a hidden Battle Star.

Fortnite fans need to use the Week 6 loading screen to find the hidden banner, which can be unlocked when all seven weekly challenges have been completed, but if you’re struggling to find the banner, you can use our handy guide to save yourself from the hunt.

Visit a wooden rabbit, a stone pig and a metal llama [5]

This challenge will require Fortnite fans to head to three separate locations to earn their Battle Stars, as they will need to visit three structures in the shape of animals to complete it.

These structures are separated out across the Fortnite map, with the wooden rabbit sitting above Snobby Shores, the stone pig on a hill beside Lucky Landing, and the giant metal llama at the very top of the map just north of Junk Junction.

Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island [5]

Hopefully you’re not afraid of heights, as Fortnite players will be visiting the five highest peaks on the Fortnite map.

These are spread out across the map, but our handy guide will help you find the spots with the greatest elevation on the map with ease.

Eliminate three opponents at Lazy Lagoon or Frosty Flights [10]

Expect these two locations to get busier over the next few days, as players will start dropping here in the hopes of finding the three eliminations they need to complete this challenge.

Simply land at either Lazy Lagoon in the north of the island, or Frosty Flights in the southwest, and start searching for enemies to kill.

Epic GamesFortnite fans will have to head to Lazy Lagoon to complete this challenge.

Stage 1: Land at Fatal Fields [1]

This week’s Staged challenge will see players landing at different locations. There are five named places that you’ll have to visit immediately after you jump out of the Battle Bus, and they must be completed in the correct order to receive the reward. You can read the full five stages below.

  1. Land at Fatal Fields
  2. Land at Lazy Lagoon
  3. Land at Shifty Shafts
  4. Land at Frosty Flights
  5. Land at Sunny Steps

Search where the knife points on the Treasure Map loading screen
 [5]

Fortnite fans will be forced to pull out the Treasure Map loading screen again, and this time head to the location at which the knife is pointing on the map. Finding the location may prove tricky, but we have a full guide that will help you get there.

Get an elimination with a Flint-Knock Pistol or a Boom Bow [10]

Another straightforward challenge, players will need to get their hands on one of Fortnite’s two newest weapons, the Flint-Knock Pistol or the Boom Bow. Once you find one, take down an enemy and eliminate them to secure this challenge.

The Flint-Knock Pistol and the Boom Bow will be needed to complete this challenge.

Use two different throwable items in a single match [10]

This one will require some searching, as players will need to find two different throwable items and use them in a single game. These can include Stink Bombs and Boogie Bombs, so as soon as you find one, throw it. They don’t even have to hit another opponent, so don’t worry about holding on to them until you see an enemy player.

Excitement for Fortnite’s Season 4 Nexus War finale event, which will introduce Marvel villain Galactus, is at fever pitch. From start times to how to watch live, here’s everything you need to know.

Love them or hate them, Fortnite’s crossovers with Marvel have become big business for Epic Games. Season 4 has introduced a number of skins and weapons for our favorite superheroes and villains, and it’s set to go out with a bang with the arrival of Galactus.

We don’t know too much about what will happen when the Devourer of Worlds hits the Island, but as his moniker suggests, it’s going to spell trouble; the event has been described as “an interactive Marvel movie” by Epic, and is expected to be one of the biggest events the game has ever seen.

Below, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about the Nexus War finale including start times, how to watch, leaks about another potential Black Hole scenario, and what to expect when Season 5 finally arrives.

When does the Fortnite Galactus event start?

Such is the hype surrounding the appearance of Galactus that he’s taken an incredibly long time to appear. However, his arrival is finally set in stone.

The Nexus War finale event is a one-time spectacle set to kick off on Tuesday, December 1 at 4:10 PM ET | 1 PM PT | 9 PM GMT.

How to watch Fortnite’s Galactus event

If you want to take part in Fortnite’s Nexus War finale event, Epic recommends you log in to the game at least 60 minutes prior to the start time and date listed above, with the Event Playlist expected to go live 30 minutes before the event.

Epic have also advised players to download the latest update (14.60) and Houseparty (which is integrated with Fortnite to allow for live video chat) for the best experience.

However, if you don’t want to play, and instead just want to watch the event live, you can tune in to NICKMERCS’ live stream on Twitch below.

Fortnite Galactus event: What to expect

Unfortunately, we don’t really know what to expect during the event itself, although the prevailing theory is that players will have to fight Galactus. This hasn’t been confirmed and is pure speculation, but with the hype that’s been surrounding the villain’s arrival, it would make sense.

That being said, the playlist for the event apparently states that players will have to “defend the Island to save all Reality!”, which supports that theory that we’ll have to take down Galactus himself.

We’ll just have to wait and see to find out exactly what’s going to happen during the event itself when it goes live at 4:10 PM.

Galactus Fortnite event leaks

2While we may not know exactly what we’ll be doing during the event, as with everything in Fortnite, there’s a ton of leaks surrounding the event itself, giving players SOME idea of what to expect.

Galactus is officially listed as being 28ft tall and that in itself could offer some interesting gameplay options. Given that this will close out a season-long Nexus War, there’s a good chance you’ll have a ton of manual input here. So expect to help the heroes in their fight.

It’s also been heavily rumored that there will be another Black Hole type situation once the Galactus event comes to a close. Back when Chapter 1 ended, the battle royale was stuck behind a black hole loading screen, with nothing for players to do until Chapter 2 began.

The potential return of a blackout was pointed out on November 18 by data miner FNLeaksAndInfo, who tweeted: “Prepare for some more possible downtime after the event similar to the Black Hole event!”

Beyond the event itself, it seems like players may be able to play as Galactus if some leaks are to be believed, although not in the way you’re probably thinking. It turns out there’s actually a standard-sized Galactus skin in the game’s files. Perhaps we’ll be able to run around as the Devourer of Worlds after the event. Only time will tell.

The main rumor concerning Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that Galactus will indeed be the archetypal villain of the main films. The Devourer of Worlds quite literally does what he says on the tin, and his power is unmatched.

On top of that, on November 4, Fortnite data miner Mang0e tweeted about a mysterious new weapon in the works. Hardly anything is known about what this ‘Lazing Device’ is. However, Mang0e believes it could perhaps be a prototype for the upcoming Cosmos rifle.

Its base stats are that of the Bolt Sniper Rifle, which is the same as the Cosmos ones, too. Mang0e goes on to say in their Twitter thread that this is all speculation, however, but rebuffs his claims by saying that they were right about the Slurp Bazooka in the past.
