TSM Myth and NICKMERCS debate the Baller’s place in Fortnite

Members of the Fortnite pro community such as Myth, Ninja, NICKMERCS and others are split on whether the Baller is good or bad for the game.

When Epic Games announced planes were being vaulted at the beginning of Season 8 in Fortnite much of the pro community was very excited about the news.

Epic Games followed up this announcement by introducing the Baller is Season 8, a new vehicle that has a lot of mobility, but nothing like what the plane was capable of.

The Baller is not nearly as powerful as the plane was but it is still causing issues with prominent members of the Fortnite community.

It’s easy to look at the Baller as being a cheesy vehicle but it has been causing problems for players just because of its ability to wreak havoc and how unpredictable it can be.

TSM Myth doesn’t think the Baller is a good alternative to the planes

In a tweet Myth pretty much called out Fortnite and bashing the Baller at the same time.

“Oh how happy we were before we knew they were gonna adds balls,” he wrote.

While there are some players who agree with him, some of the bigger names in the Fortnite community shared their disagreements with that statement.

NICKMERCS, Ninja and WizKay all weighed on the debate.

NICKMERCS responded to Myth’s initial tweet saying he thinks the Baller is much better than the planes were.

“Hamster balls are a much better alternative,” NICKMERCS wrote. “The planes were ridiculous.”

Myth responded by saying both had their positives and negatives but he wouldn’t say the Baller is a much better alternative, to which Nick said the Baller was better than a plane by a mile and said Myth was trippin’.

Ninja agreed with Nick’s statement about the Baller is better than the plane and WizKay weighed in by saying he thinks the Baller is better but said neither are good for competitive Fortnite.

It’s easy to see why the Baller would be a fun vehicle to mess around in with friends but in a competitive setting, it’s hard to see where they fit in.

That’s not to say they are completely broken but many pros agree Fortnite has a long way to go before it gets its competitive scene ironed out and getting rid of vehicles does seem like something that should be considered.

New Fortnite Season 5 release date and start time potentially leaked

A Fortnite leaker has seemingly revealed the start date, and time, of Chapter 2, Season 5 amid uncertainty about when it’ll be getting underway.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 4 is almost at its end as players are gearing up to, finally, take on Galactus alongside some of their favorite Marvel characters.

As with the conclusion of any season, Fortnite players immediately start looking forward to what’s coming next – and everything that Epic Games will have in store for them. Typically, the final day of the battle pass is a good indicator for when a new season might start, but that has been changed a few times in Season 4.

Add to that the rumors about a potential black hole blackout situation again, and the Fortnite community has been left incredibly confused about Season 5’s start date.

Galactus has been getting closer and closer to the Fortnite map all season – and a battle is on the way.

However, that confusion could be cleared up if one leaker is correct with their claims about the next season.

ShiinaBR, who has been a reliable leaker in the past, shared some information from another leaker who seems to have the scoop. “Season 5 could(!) start on December 2 at 7 am GMT, according to @tonxim,” she tweeted on November 22. “If this is true, this means the season would start 10 hours after the event takes place!”

If correct, this would mean that Fortnite Season 5 would get underway on December 2nd at 2 am ET/11 pm PT/8 am CET. So, it could be a long day of Fortnite if you factor in attending the live event.

Additionally, the lengthy downtime would also play into the speculation that another blackout could happen in the meantime – making Fortnite inaccessible until the new season starts.

Nothing, as of now, has been confirmed by Epic, so it’s worth taking things with a pinch of salt, but it does seem like we’re drawing ever close to the start date of Season 5 being confirmed.
