One of the things that sets Fortnite apart from other battle royale titles is the fact that its map is constantly changing, providing players with new places to land at, search for loot, and eliminate enemies on a regular basis.

Players have already seen Gotham City make it’s arrival, replacing Tiltted Town and bringing in the Welcome to Gotham challenges, and data miners searching through the game’s v10.40 update files, which were accidentally released by Epic Games, have discovered another new location that is set to arrive very soon.

Epic GamesGotham City arrived in Fortnite to celebrate International Batman Day.

While searching for the game’s upcoming Overtime challenges, which offer players the chance to earn some final Battle Stars before Season 10 ends, data miner @Asriel_Dev discovered a task which asked players to find a “Visitor recording in Gotham City and Starry Suburbs,” a point-of-interest that has never been heard of before.

Where this location will appear remains to be seen, but it’s possible that we could see the north-western corner of the island get a major revamp, with a Rift Beacon appearing at Junk Junction which usually predates a massive change to the area.

At the time of writing, leakers haven’t been able to find any visual elements for the POI, but based on the name, we can expect it to feature a number of houses, and probably look similar to Pleasant Park or Salty Springs.

As it stands, there is no official release date for Starry Suburbs, with Epic Games yet to officially confirm that a map change is coming.

Data miners state that it will appear following the v10.40 update though, which is likely to release on Wednesday, September 25, meaning it shouldn’t be long before we see it. With Overtime challenges usually starting around Week 10, which will start on October 2, we will definitely see Starry Suburbs in the next two weeks.
