FaZe Tfue gives his verdict on Fortnite’s Mounted Turret, discusses the worst ever additions to the game

Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is one of best Fortnite Battle Royale players on the planet, but that doesn’t automatically mean the FaZe Clan star approves of every aspect of the game.

The Fortnite Fall Skirmish champion made that clear during a recent Twitch stream when he discussed the controversial Mounted Turret, which was added to the game in the v6.30 patch on November 14.

“The [Mounted] Turret is actually one of the dumbest things they’ve added in the game, no joke,” Tfue said after dealing with a player using the incredibly powerful item during the early stages of a game.

He went on to compare the Mounted Turret with unpopular additions, stating: “Like, when you think of like the worst things they’ve added to the game, I would say Jetpack is up there, the Double Barrel [Shotgun] is definitely up there when it was like super overpowered.

“But like, I don’t know dude, I think the Turret takes the cake. What do you guys think? I think the Turret is the worst thing they’ve added to this game. Easily.”

The Mounted Turret proved to be an exceptionally powerful item as soon as it was added to the game, and some of Fortnite’s best known players, including Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, were quick to point out its flaws.

Despite a hotfix on November 15 that nerfed the Turret’s health, and another on November 16 that nerfed its availability, the powerful weapon is clearly still causing issues for players of all levels.

There’s no denying the fact that Tfue is one of the best Fortnite players around, but even he has struggled to find a way of consistently dealing with players using the Mounted Turret when he encounters them.

It will be interesting to see how Tfue receives the game’s latest addition, Dynamite, when he gets the chance to test it out. The explosive item has already received criticism from some pro players that believe Epic should be concentrating on other aspects of the game.
