Epic Games Announces That the V.5.40 Update and High Stakes Event In Fortnite Will Be Delayed
Epic Games has announced that the release of the V.5.40 update and the High Stakes event in Fortnite: Battle Royale will be delayed.

The announcement came via Twitter, which claims the delay will occur due to a ‘critical controller issue.’
V.4.0 and the High Stakes event will now be released on Thursday, September 6 after it was originally set to launch on Wednesday, September 5.
@FortniteGame‘High Stakes’ was first revealed by Epic Games during PAX West, and is set to feature a new game mode, outfits, challenges, and much more.

Epic Games have also announced that this delay has pushed back the release of this week’s challenges from September 6 to 7.
