OpTic Gaming streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has confirmed that he would rather cast at Fortnite LAN events than compete in them.

CouRage was a member of the broadcast team at the Fortnite Summer Skirmish at PAX West, and has casted a number of different events throughout the summer.

While playing with 100 Thieves streamer NICKMERCS, Jack was asked whether he wanted to compete at LAN events in the future. Without hesitating, he confirmed he was happy to continue casting:

“The online ones I’ll play in. The LAN ones, especially if they’re solos, I’ll wanna cast… Epic’s treating me alright. That’s all I’ll say.”

CouRage also mentioned that he didn’t mind missing out on some of the bigger prize pools on offer at LAN events, saying:

“There was $8 million in that tournament in total. I played the weeks prior for $6.5 million across those tournaments, and I sat out the $1.5 million tournament… and still walked away doing okay for myself. I can’t complain.”

CourRage’s experience as a Call of Duty commentator has given him a platform to jump into the world of casting Fortnite, while his playing skills means he can also compete at the highest level.

It looks like fans of the OpTic streamer will have plenty of opportunities to see him in action, both behind the mouse and keyboard, and behind the casting desk!
