YouTube sensation Ali-A spoke to Dexerto following the conclusion of the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament about his experience at the competition, playing on console against PC pros, and his strategy.

Ali-A was best known for his Call of Duty YouTube content prior to his switch to Fortnite Battle Royale but has blown up since moving over to the Epic Games title.

Competing in the highly anticipated Fortnite Pro-Am tournament was Ali-A’s first chance to prove that he can hang with the best of the best and that he is more than just an entertainer.

The Brit did just that by finishing in fifth place along with his teammate Pete Wentz, netting a total of $80,000 for the charity of his choice, and outplacing the likes of TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbanni and many other professional players.

After the games came to an end, Ali-A spoke to Dexerto about his strategy to avoid too much confrontation during the early game and how difficult it can be to play on a console against pro PC players.

The YouTube star explained that it can be difficult to play with a controller but was clearly pleased to have “hung with them”.

Ali-A also revealed that the money that he won would be going to the WWF, a charity that works to protect endangered animals and protect the planet in general.

Ali’A’s performance at the $3,000,000 Fortnite Pro-Am will certainly throw a spanner in the works for some of his biggest critics moving forward.
