Shopping Carts Back in Fortnite Battle Royale – Confirmed By Epic Games

Despite being disabled again recently, it looks like shopping carts have made a return to Fortnite Battle Royale, as players have reported spotting them in matches.

Fortnite developer Epic Games has had to enable and disable the carts three times since they were initially launched, due to a number of issues including being able to get under the map using them.

On the most recent occasion, the carts were only enabled again for a matter of hours, before quickly being vaulted again.

However, this week’s challenges (week 9), indicated that the carts would be making their return, as one of the tasks is to ride a shopping cart.

The shopping carts were previously spotted by a number of players who then posted to social media before Epic Games made an announcement. But the official Fortnite Twitter account has now confirmed that they have been re-enabled.

Top Fortnite YouTuber Ali-A was one of the first to post an image showing him pushing a cart in-game, just in time for this week’s challenges.

Other users on social media have reported the same, although it was not clear initially if they were available fully to all players in all playlists.
