How to find Fortnite’s highest elevations for Week 6, Season 8 challenges

David Purcell

Fortnite Battle Royale players have been tasked with a wide variety of different quests in the past, whether it’s eliminating enemies in certain locations or interacting with new features, but the highest points of the map will have to be conquered in Week 6, Season 8’s challenges.

Data miners initially leaked the next set of Fortnite challenges that people will soon have to grind through and now the new list has been announced by Epic Games. Players are going to have to visit the five highest elevations on the island.

As many players will already be aware, these high spots are scattered right across the map, with some sitting closer to others. So, let’s take a look at where you’re going to have to visit this week…

What are the five highest elevations on the Fortnite island?

We have assembled a quick and easy map that you can follow to locate each of the five highest points as quick as possible.

Here’s the top five highest elevation points in Fortnite, to help complete the Week 6, Season 8 challenge.

As seen in the graphic above, the highest locations can be found in the west, southwest and northeast sections of the map.

One of the more obvious high locations is the brand new volcano point of interest, which was added at the beginning of Season 8 on February 28, 2019, but other Fortnite destinations include: Polar Peak, a smaller peak near Frosty Flights, as well as two mountain tops between Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park.

Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island: Step-by-step guide

This is one of the three free challenges for Week 6, Season 8. Based on where you’re going to need to go, here’s the easiest way to reach all five.

  1. Make a note of the locations you need to visit and keep a lookout for wooden signs at each.
  2. First, land on top of the highest castle Polar Peak.
  3. Use ziplines to travel across to the next peak in the snow biome and stand at the tallest point.
  4. Travel in the direction of Pleasant Park and build ramps to reach one of the two mountain tops.
  5. Move to the other peak using ziplines, a Rift-To-Go or a nearby Quadcrasher.
  6. Travel towards the top of the Volcano to complete the challenge.

These instructions are, of course, in an ideal world where you don’t run into other enemy players. However, it’s worth noting that you don’t have to visit all of them in the same session.

If this proves to difficult a task to do all at once, simply drop at each location one by one every time a new game starts and complete the challenge that way, instead.

What exactly are we looking for at Fortnite’s elevations?

In order to register that you have visited these places, you’re going to need to find and stand next to the small wooden sign that says how high the location is from the floor. Examples of this can be found below, but they’re very easy to find once you’re at the very top of each place.

So, there you have it. We hope that our quick and easy guide allows you to make easy work of this challenges and we’ll be posting a few more guides to help you with others from Week 6, Season 8.

Good luck!
