The seventh challenge for the 14 Days of Summer event in Fortnite Battle Royale is now live and if you’re looking to complete it, you will have to know how to hit other players with water balloons.

The 14 Days of Summer event has added some summer color to the Fortnite map and provided some new content, but having reached the halfway mark already, another challenge is now available for completion – to splash others with a water balloon.

The Epic Games team, who are on a well-deserved break from their usual update schedule, may not have added the most difficult of challenges to the game in their absence. However, hitting other players with a water balloon tasks you with being able to equip balloons in the first place, and not everybody will know exactly how to do it.

Epic Games14 Days of Summer has brought a whole load of new content to Fortnite.

The challenge may sound pretty easy from the get-go but there are steps to getting your hands on these water balloons. Sadly, the items are not dotted around the map and you’ll have to complete a previous challenge to unlock them for yourself.

Once you claim five Eliminations with the Daily Unvaulted Weapon – which, as of writing, is the Compact SMG – or a Drumgun, you will unlock the brand new water balloon toy in your item locker.

Epic GamesYou can throw balloons at player in-game or in a pre-game lobby.

Once it’s unlocked, equip the water balloon toy to one of your emote slots and drop into a game. However, you don’t need to worry about avoiding gunfire at Neo Tilted in order to complete this challenge.

Simply find somebody standing still in the pre-game lobby and take aim at them.

Of course, you can opt to complete the task during a match – and a hearty congratulations to anybody who succeeds – but it’s never a bad thing to take the easy way out, especially when it needs to be completed in three different sessions.

In return for completing the daily task, you will receive a brand new loading screen and another notch in the quest to complete all 14 separate challenges.

So, get out there and find an unlucky target to soak with your balloons!
