When it comes to Fortnite, especially the competitive side of things, you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who is not familiar with both Sway and Mongraal.

The two embody everything that is being a Fortnite star in today’s world – both are young, have insane building and editing skills, can shoot weapons as accurately as anyone, and have reactions that very few can match.

However, the one major difference between the two, and it is pretty significant, is the fact that Sway plays Fortnite on controller while Mongraal applies his craft on mouse and keyboard.

Seeing as how they’re are currently among the best players in the world, but on opposite sides of the peripheral spectrum, fans were very excited when the two announced that they would be going head-to-head in a private 1v1 match.

On July 17, Sway finally released the video of their epic 1v1 battle, which saw the two queue into a Creative mode server together and engage in some of the most intense and incredible build-battles ever seen in Fortnite

The video features some of the best moments from the monumental clash, as each player tried their hardest to outdo the other in building, editing, and shooting accuracy.

The fight ultimately ended with a score of 10-8, favoring Sway, with one of the rounds even ending in a tie because they had built so high up that they could not place down anymore structures.

While this duel will not end the controller vs KB+M debate about which of the two is the better way to play, it does once again prove that controller players can definitely keep up with, and even top, their mouse-and-keyboard using counterparts.

Mongraal further bolsters FaZe’s strong Fortnite roster

Mongraal will have plenty of further opportunities to engage in 1v1s against Sway now that the latter has also joined FaZe Clan’s superb lineup of Fortnite pros and content creators.

The Brit officially completed his move to FaZe from Team Secret on July 7, and will represent the organization at the upcoming Fortnite World Cup in New York, where he will be competing in both the Solos and Duos events, the latter of which with Team Atlantis’ Mitr0.

Boasting well over a million followers on Twitch and subscribers on YouTube, Mongraal has essentially filled in as the replacement for FaZe’s former superstars Cloak and Tfue, both of whom recently departed from the organization.
