How to complete Mats Hummels Flashback FIFA 20 SBC: cost & requirements

Legendary Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Mats Hummels has been given a special Flashback SBC card in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team (FUT), and we’ve got all the details on how to unlock it.

Flashback SBCs have been a staple of FIFA Ultimate Team for a couple of years now, given to players in recognition of the best season of their careers.

Hummels’ Flashback card, released on February 17, celebrates his 2010-2011 season, during which he established himself as one of Europe’s best centerbacks and helped Borussia Dortmund win the first of two consecutive Bundesliga titles.

Mats Hummels FIFA 20 Flashback SBC stats

Hummels’ card definitely looks to be dominant in defense; all of his defending stats are 90 or above with the exception of slide tackle, which is at 89.

Not to be overlooked, his passing and dribbling stats are exception for that position: both short and long passing are over 90, while his composure and reactions – two very important stats for a central defender – are 97 and 99 respectively.

The card’s only shortcomings, if you can call them that, are its 70 pace, especially the 63 acceleration, and 73 stamina, which leave a bit to be desired. However, a Shadow chem style improves the acceleration to 78, sprint speed to 85 while boosting all of the defending stats to 95 and above, making this a near-endgame level CB.

This SBC requires two challenges to complete – 85 rates squads for both Germany and the Bundesliga.

At the time of writing, FIFA database site FUTBIN projects this Flashback Mats Hummels SBC costs around 178,000 coins on PS4, 174,000 on Xbox One, and 187,000 on Origin PC.

All in all, if you’re on the fence about doing this SBC, it’s ultimately probably not worth it, considering that the price is pretty high and there are alternatives that may be just as good, if not better.

For example, a special version of Manuel Akanji, another Dortmund centerback, is available for free at Level 30 of the current season, and while his defending stats are just a tick below Hummels’, his 83 pace is blistering for a player in central defense.
