Escape From Tarkov developers Battlestate Games have revealed the set of changes and bug fixes that have been released with the 0.12.4.6440 patch on March 25.

As Escape from Tarkov has maintained a pretty steady fanbase of players, Battlestate Games have been dropping tweaks and fixes for the intense first-person shooter and looter title.

In recent updates, the developers have changed the weight system to help players level up their strength stats, and introduce an overweight system that affected their movement. Now, though, the developers are gearing up for another deep update that will change a few things.

One of the biggest changes in the 0.12.4.6440 patch is a continuation of the changes to the strength stats. The developer has lowered the weight needed to be carried in order to level up the statistic – though they haven’t noted what that new weight will be.

Players will now also become out of breath when they are out of stamina. This will add heavy breathing and shaking hands to the mix, meaning that they will be a little easier to hear during a raid.

Aside from that, Battlestate Games have also cleaned up a litany of bugs including extraction points on Labs, invisible obstacles on Shoreline, and an issue that prevented the main menu from opening up.

Escape from Tarkov developers Battlestate Games have rolled out a significant update on August 13, patch 0.12.7.8599, to fix a host of bugs and issues in the game.

The game was down for around two hours as the patch was rolled out, with the changes resolving a number of complaints players have had – some for a matter of weeks now.

The update also generally better optimized the game, namely regarding memory usage, which should result in smoother gameplay overall regardless of your hardware.

There doesn’t appear to be a fix for the notorious speed glitch which has reared its head again in EFT though, as players noted back at the end of July.

The devs did manage to fix this exploit when players are moving forwards, however it still seems to work if the player is moving backward instead.

Patch 12.8 is expected to come this month, in August, at least according to the most recent information from Battlestate. What exactly it will contain is not known though.

Patch 12.9, expected in September, is set to bring  Chest Rig and Plate Carriers customization, before the new Streets of Tarkov map is added in 13.0, expected in October.
