xQc roasts his own Twitch subs for expecting too much

One of Twitch’s biggest names, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, has lashed out at some of his Twitch donors, suggesting they expect too much of him upon donating.

xQc is a Canadian ex-Overwatch professional, who hung up the sticks in order to pursue a career as a full time streamer. It’s fair to say this move has been wildly successful, with xQc quickly rising to become one of Twitch’s most popular content creators.

Well known for his eccentricity and passion, SocialBlade currently has his number of followers on the platform at a whopping 2.46 million.

xQc garnered a reputation in the OWL as a fiery competitor.

On April 8, despite being one of Twitch’s biggest streamers, he criticized some members of his audience for expecting too much of him from their donations.

While playing Valorant, xQc became frustrated with a viewer who had recently re-subbed, and sent in a lengthy message.

“Can I ask something of you?” he said. “Please shut the f**k up dude, shut the f**k up.  When you re-sub there are rules motherf**ker. You get a choice – just like when you go to a restaurant. You have twenty bucks, and every meal is twenty bucks. You choose whether you get steak, chicken, lasagna.”

He continued his analogy in his fiery trademark fashion: ” You can’t say something, ask something, request something, spam letters, tell a story, tell a joke. You can’t have all of it! You choose – not all!”

There was a mixed response in the Canadian’s Twitch chat, with some confused as to why the ex-Overwatch pro became so worked up about something pretty trivial. However, others sided with the Twitch star and suggested that some viewers try and get too much from re-subbing or donations.

Believe it or not, other streamers have struggled in the past with fans using subscription messages for self-promotion or toxicity. It something of an issue, and some argue that Twitch should be doing more to combat it.
