xQc hits the jackpot while fishing in Animal Crossing

Twitch personality Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel caught one of Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s largest and most valuable fish on one of his first casts of the day.

Like a lot of other streamers and people stuck inside, xQc has been giving New Horizons for the Nintendo Switch a try – and so far, he seems to be enjoying himself.

xQc hosted a fishing contest on his first day in the game, and was apparently so impressed with one player’s Ocean Sunfish that he just had to get one for himself.

The Ocean Sunfish can only be caught from 4 AM to 9 PM from the months of July-September in New Horizons, so Felix was up before the sun to try and snag one.

Despite its massive size, the Sunfish only appears as a medium to large-sized fish shadow, with a fin sticking up when it’s in the water, so xQc had no idea what he was going to catch as he reeled it in.

After a few seconds of precision angling, xQc lifted the beast out of the water and marveled at his catch, which completely covered up his character model.

“Oh my god, are you kidding me, are you kidding!?” Felix exclaimed. “First try! Ocean Sunfish baby! Oh my god.”

The fish is absolutely massive, and would make quite the conversation piece in a tank at your home – but the Ocean Sunfish also sells for a cool 4,000 Bells to Tom Nook if you need a little extra cash.

However, xQc decided to donate his trophy to the Museum instead, so he would always be able to remember his ridiculously good luck.

“Chat, you can always have money, but you can’t always have memories,” xQc told his chat as he donated his prize. “Goodbye Ocean Sunfish.”

After giving his fish a new home, the streamer decided to check out how it was doing with chat in the aquarium before moving on to other tasks.

xQc was blown away by his fishy friend’s new pad.

So far, Felix seems to be enjoying himself in New Horizons – probably in part due to his string of incredible luck so far in the game.
