Apex Legends has gone down a storm with players and streamers around the world, but Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel couldn’t resist taking a few shots at EA games after watching Dr Disrespect rant about the Origin platform.

The former Overwatch pro was watching a clip of fellow Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect venting his frustration’s with EA’s Origin platform after being met with a ‘cloud sync error’ that prevented him from playing Apex Legends, the popular new free-to-play battle royale title.

“Jesus Christ, this Origin sucks!” the Doc called out as he discovered the error. “EA, get rid of it. Just get rid of it. Like, nice idea EA, it’s not working out, just get rid of it. Put everything on Steam.”

This prompted xQc to take things one step further, by trying to prove that EA is failing as a company, despite the popularity of Apex Legends.

“No, it’s [Origin] working guys – I promise,” he stated sarcastically before heading to Google in an attempt to use the company’s current stock price as a way to emphasize his point.

“Guys, I know the stock market,” Lengyel added before being met with a graph EA’s share prices dropping significantly in recent months. After taking a few moments to let his point sink in, xQc closed the page and concluded, in a sheepish manner: “Changing topic guys.”

It is outspoken highlights and moments of humor like this that keep viewers flooding back to xQc’s channel, making him one of the most popular Twitch personalities over the last 12 months.

While his more controversial opinions, including labeling people who enjoy traveling as ‘hipster retards’, create some negativity around him, they don’t appear to affect his growth – he continues to maintain a strong standing on the streaming platform.
