When he’s not solving problems such as making space exploration more affordable, Musk takes on the issues that matter to the average person such as making cool flame-throwers, and hosting Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg’s ‘Meme Review’

Now the tech-millionaire is progressing society even further with his latest announcement, letting Tesla owners know that they’ll soon be able to watch YouTube and Netflix behind the wheel.

Watching YouTube in your car?

According to a tweet from Elon on July 27, owners of the expensive car brand will soon have the ability to stream YouTube and Netflix when stopped.

“Ability to stream YouTube & Netflix when car is stopped coming to your Tesla soon!” he said.

He also went on to add that it has an “amazingly immersive, cinematic feel due to the comfy seats & surround sound audio”. After all, who wouldn’t want to watch YouTube with a theater-like experience?

The Tesla CEO updated a curious follower with a potential release date, and said that it could be in August, or at the very least “not more than a few months”.

Scarily, the tech-millionaire also claimed that once full-self driving has been approved, the car owners could eventually be able to watch while on the move.

“When full self-driving is approved by regulators, we will enable video while moving,” he said.

This isn’t the first time Tesla has added cool features to its cars. The electric model comes with an arcade in the software, which has a variety of games to play.

Recently, the car company has released an ad campaign to promote the new chess game, which pits the player vs the car’s AI.
