Twitch streamer “ChillboBagginz” had a perfect response to a viewer who gave her a backhanded “compliment” at the expense of other women on the platform.

Although touted for its diverse content and robust group of top broadcasters, it’s no secret that Twitch – like many other online platforms – has issues regarding women online.

With streamers like Corinna Kopf getting banned on her birthday for a year old clip where she adjusted her bra, while others like “AshleyRoboto” get hounded by fans for wearing a turtleneck sweater, it seems that women have a difficult experience in navigating the site, at times.

One streamer, going by the handle ChillboBagginz, isn’t letting the hate get her down one bit, as evidenced by her response to a viewer who gave her an offensive “compliment.”

Bagginz was in the middle of a stream on December 10 when a viewer popped in her chat, thanking her for “not being a Twitch thot.”

Seeing the problematic nature of the comment, the streamer went in on her viewer, making sure to teach them a valuable lesson on the structure of a constructive compliment, rather than a backhanded statement at the expense of others.

“That’s not a compliment,” Bagginz responded. “I think you mean it as a compliment, but it’s not. You know how we compliment other people? We say, ‘Hey, you look good today. Hey, you look nice today. Hey, I like your personality, you have a great personality.’”

That wasn’t the end of her lesson, by far: she went on to illustrate her point, and dismissed the negative energy from her viewer.

“What we don’t do, is we don’t bring down other people when we compliment somebody,” she continued. “What other people choose to do with their life is none of our business. Doesn’t matter. Just because I don’t wear certain clothing, just because I don’t act a certain way does not mean that I’m better than anyone else.”

Bagginz’s Twitch lesson follows a string of incidents where other female streamers have called out their viewer-bases for such conduct. Some memorable one were ‘AshleyRoboto’s’ hilarious clap-back to a fan upset about her turtleneck and ‘KnightSinclair’ when her chat got a bit too excited by seeing her friend on camera.
