Tommyinnit finally meets Charli D’Amelio and fans on Twitter can’t believe it

Popular gaming Youtuber Tommyinnit posted a photo last night with TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. After months of online banter and trying to establish a friendship with D’Amelio, Tommyinnit’s fans can’t believe the two have finally met in person.

Thomas Simmons, or Tommyinnit as he is more commonly known, is a popular gaming Youtuber and Twitch streamer. He is best known for his Minecraft-related content and is one of the most successful young streamers going around at the moment.

His star rose to fame dramatically after a string of collaborations he did back with Dream SMP back in 2020. Now, his seven Youtube channels have a total of 24.5 million subscribers collectively and over 2 billion views.

For fans who follow Tommyinnit on social media, you’d know that he has been trying to strike up a friendship with Charli D’Amelio for quite a while now.

Tommy began dueting Charlie’s Tiktok’s constantly last year as a way to get her to notice him and hopefully follow him back on Twitter. After months of doing this and getting no response, it became a giant running joke between Tommyinnit and his fans. 

His fanbase would ask for updates and they would send him memes about the two hanging out. However, after getting no response for so long, D’Amelio eventually noticed what was going on.

In November 2021, Tommyinnit posted a photo on Twitter, revealing that she had finally followed him back. He even captioned the tweet as being “the most important moment of my life.”

 

From there, the friendship and drama continued to unfold. Tommy revealed that this past May, he met her on Facetime via a mutual friend they had, getting her phone number in the process.

Tommy told his fans that he then asked her if she would be attending VidCon. When he revealed that she said yes, fans immediately began anticipating the meet-up between the two.

Now with VidCon finally here, the two have finally come together.

Tommy’s fans have been waiting to see and hear if he would finally meet up with Charli D’Amelio. Rather than leaving his fans in suspense, Tommy confirmed the two had met up and posted an image of the two together on Twitter last night.

 

In the tweet, he joked that she keeps trying to marry him. Fans quickly began commenting on the tweet, which now has over 150,000 likes. Many are extremely happy for him, especially those who have been following him closely.

Other’s seem to think he’s not even telling the truth and simply don’t believe it.

Fans are now waiting for the Vlog collab the two promised they would do. And while nothing else has been confirmed, many are hoping the two will collaborate more in the future and create some form of content together.
