Popular Twitch streamer Tim ‘TimTheTatMan’ Bertar revealed the gender of his child during a live broadcast in September 2018 - and now, the newest addition of his family has finally arrived.

Tim announced that he and his wife, Alexis, would be heading to the hospital the night of April 8, after a 40 week pregnancy.

The streamer continued to update fans on their journey with a series of videos via Twitter, where he later explained that Alexis would be undergoing labor on April 10 after a day of preparation.

However, their son took his time meeting the world, waiting until the afternoon of April 11 to finally make his appearance - which Tim announced in an emotional video holding the newborn, who the couple had named ‘Brewer.’

“I am happy to announce that I am a father and Alexis is a mother to our wonderful son, Brewer,” Tim said. “It was a pretty crazy process. He’s finally here, though.”

Brewer’s birth was met with excitement from personalities across social media, with the likes of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, Nadeshot, TSM Myth and more offering their excited congratulations to the couple.

The viral pregnancy announcement and live streamed gender reveal

Brewer’s journey was documented in several streams prior to his birth, with Tim showing a video of Alexis surprising him with her pregnancy announcement during a broadcast in late September of 2018.

That’s not all; the two later announced Brewer’s gender during a live stream shortly thereafter, releasing color-coded confetti after a highly-anticipated countdown that revealed their child to be a boy.

While Tim himself was convinced they were having a girl, his audience felt otherwise, voting 58% to 42% that he would have a son - whose name he kept under wraps until his birth.

Tim has since offered sincere thanks to all the fans and friends keeping up with he and Alexis’s journey, noting that he would be taking a break from streaming until his wife is cleared from the hospital.

TimTheTatMan is a popular streamer on Twitch, with over 3 million followers on the platform.

He is known for his joint broadcasts with Ninja, DrLupo, and other major names in the Fortnite scene - although his fans will have to wait to see him hop in the game again for a little while longer.
