Mongeau announced this “emergency” in a series of Tweets on July 29 amidst the wedding chaos, hoping to meet up with Paul on their trip the moment she was able.

“My number one focus is dealing with this family emergency,” Mongeau wrote. “Sometimes God gives us hardships at really bad timing… trying to be strong to be the best example I can be for all of you.”

Although she didn’t speak at length about the emergency in question, Mongeau followed up with a somber update on August 16, announcing to fans that she was flying home to Vegas to spend time with her family.

“Headed to Vegas to be with my family,” the YouTuber Tweeted. “Remember to always tell the people you love that you love them, even if they make you mad. Even if it’s hard. Life should always be about forgiveness, because you never how long you’ll have with the people you love.”

While Mongeau has kept matters relatively private, the YouTube star is seeing support on all sides, with fans expressing their sympathy across Twitter.

“We’ve been so worried because things have seemed so off lately, so I hope whatever it is, you figure it out and hopefully get some kind of relief soon,” one fan wrote. “Sending you so many good vibes.”

“I love you so so so much,” another replied. “I promise you’re going to be okay. You are incredibly strong. Take as much time as you need. I’m always here for you mama.”

Mongeau’s posts as of late have put fans on alert, Tweeting out the “:/” emoji on both August 15 and August 13, as well as a retweet that read, “Know your worth.”

With Tana keeping her family emergency private, fans can only express their sympathies, although the YouTuber promised to release a vlog “as soon as possible.”
