Twitch star Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar received some instant karma after complaining that Escape from Tarkov’s Shoreline map is “dead.”

The ever-popular variety streamer has fallen in love with Battlestate Games’ realistic tactical shooter, focusing almost all of his broadcasting hours on the game.

So much gameplay leads to a ton of epic and sometimes hilarious moments and Summit’s stream continues to deliver. This time, even the game itself seemingly turned against him after he called one of the maps dead.

Escape from Tarkov has blown up on Twitch, with many streamers enjoying the tactical first person shooter.

The streamer dove into some Escape from Tarkov runs on the Shoreline map during a usual broadcast on February 17 and found himself relatively alone.

He struggled to find any other players as he ran through one of the central, and usually very populated, areas of the map and had to take a quick pause to talk to his Twitch chat.

“Yeah, I’ve never seen a map so dead. What’s going on with this one?” said Summit as he stopped by a window in the map’s health resort. Just a few seconds later someone shot at him from out of nowhere, hilariously eliminating him after complaining that he couldn’t find anyone.

Of course, stopping right in front of a window is never a good idea in Tarkov, but the timing couldn’t have been better.

His viewers absolutely lost it with laughter, while Jaryd himself went through a mix of shock and confusion before accepting his ironic demise.

Summit then decided not to play on Shoreline again, which is understandable given how quiet his run was and the manner in which he was eliminated. Although, he’ll probably pause to complain in a safer place next time.
