Twitch streamer Hasan ‘HasanAbi’ Piker was left stunned after one fan went to some extreme lengths to prank him with a fake highlight clip.

The popular IRL streamer has developed a loyal following on the livestreaming platform alongside his hosting duties on the political YouTube channel The Young Turks.

He regularly sits and chats to viewers about a number of different topics, as well as react to content that they send in – with some having inappropriate outcomes. Yet, things took a spooky turn when viewers decided to play a prank on Hasan.

YouTube: Hasan PikerHasan’s Twitch channel is always one of the most popular in the Just Chatting section.

During his June 23 stream, Hasan had been playing through the horror game Until Dawn in his darkened apartment, when viewers began altering him to a spooky clip that showed he wasn’t alone in his home.

As the chat demanded he check things out, the streamer paused the game, turned his lights on and sought out the clip. Yet, after clicking play he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “Is that photoshop?” Hasan asked after wiping the stunned look off of his face and seeing his door handle move.

He added further: “Is that a fake clip? That’s a fake clip right,” desperate for answers from his chat. His suspicions were confirmed when he exited the full screen. “Hasardi, oh my god,” read the streamer, relieved to find that he had just been baited by his viewers with an edited clip and he didn’t have to call Ghostbusters.

It didn’t take long for the moment to find its way onto the Livestream Fails subreddit, where users were quick to praise the brilliance of the fake clip. “Actually god tier meme, hope this sets a new standard,” posted one Redditor.

Another, Runningpixels, added: “Best f*ckin Jebait ever. Hats off to the guy that put all that effort just to scare the shit out of Hasan lol.”

While streamers can’t always be sure if they’re punked or not by their viewers, Hasan will probably have to be careful moving forward just so he doesn’t get caught out again.
