Applications like Snapchat and Instagram are a great way for influencers and celebrities to keep their fans in the loop with what's going on in their lives, especially with their 'Story' features that allow users to post updates publicly for all to see.

There is another side to these apps though, with many people using them to send NSFW content back and forth with the promise that they'll be deleted after a few seconds - unless the recipient decides to screenshot, which is a whole other issue in itself.

Sodapoppin and his family were having a conversation about Snapchat during his June 7 livestream, in which his mom hilariously let slip that she knew about the app's NSFW usage.

Mom goes all in

"You probably don't want Snapchat," Soda's brother laughs as his mom questions downloading the app. "You don't need it. Only thing you need Snapchat for is for like-" Soda explains, before his mom cuts him off. "Is for what?" she asks, before the streamer says, "[for sending] pictures for my friends."

"And a lot of times they send nudies and stuff?" his mom replies, sending everybody into fits of giggles. "Right?! Am I right?! Don't worry, I won't send anybody any nudes."

Mom then notices that the livestream is on, and points to the camera before everybody collapses into puddles of laughter, "Oh, I forgot about that!"

Snapchat's latest filter had people in fits

If you've ever been 'catfished' by an internet stranger, you'll know how far some people will go to keep the facade up with questionable fake images.

Snapchat just made it easier for people to lie about who they really are online with their gender-swapping filter, giving men a feminine appearance, and vice versa.

100 Thieves founder Nadeshot tried the filter out for himself, and was shocked with priceless results when his gender-swap made him look like Nickleodeon star Miranda Cosgrove.

He shared the image to Twitter alongside a comparison photo, with many finding it absolutely hilarious. To be fair, it is uncanny.

Update, June 8, 10AM EST: A previous version of this article mistakenly stated that Sodapoppin's adopted brother was his father.
