Dawson hinted that the series would take a drastic turn from his usual subject matter months beforehand, following the conclusion of his Jake Paul documentary in early October of 2018.

After throwing around the possibility of UFO sightings, the California wildfires, and even a discussion on YouTube’s widely-debated advertising algorithm, it appears that Dawson is taking a deep-dive into next-gen technology – more specifically, into privacy breaches created by such technology.
