PewDiePie gets help from Jacksepticeye as YouTube subscriber gap with T-Series closes

The subscriber count between YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and Bollywood label T-Series is growing ever closer – but one YouTuber in the space is pulling out all the stops to crush the corporate menace for good.

Popular gaming YouTuber Seán ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin went live on February 13 in an attempt to save PewDiePie, just as the gap between Pewds and T-Series lessened to a mere 13,000 subscriber difference.

Much in the style of Mark ‘Markiplier’ Fischbach’s previous live stream on the subject, Jacksepticeye gave a rousing speech meant to inspire his viewers – and even donned an array of PewDiePie’s merchandise in the process.

Jack’s stream may have fended off T-Series for the time being; in the hour following his broadcast, the gap between the two channels has grown over 54,000 subscribers and counting.

This isn’t the first time Jack has helped PewDiePie at the last minute, either; the Irish YouTuber likewise Tweeted out support for Pewds in early December of 2018, shortly after Markiplier went live as the gap drew to a close – ultimately boosting PewDiePie to 500,000 subs above T-Series.

Jack’s livestream follows PewDiePie’s Fortnite broadcast on February 3, which saw him reach another milestone of 83 million subs (and subsequently rendered him one of the game’s most popular streamers of all time).

While PewDiePie himself has stated that he doesn’t care if T-Series surpasses him, a plethora of popular YouTubers have since come out in support of the Swede.

In fact, YouTuber ‘MrBeast’ even advertised PewDiePie’s campaign against T-Series at the 2019 Super Bowl, which was caught by cameras in the middle of the game.
