Ninja reveals the biggest benefit of leaving Twitch to join Mixer

Streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins discussed his jump from Twitch to Mixer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 18, highlighting the positive impact the move has already had on his career.

Marking his third appearance on the popular chat show with Jimmy Fallon, Ninja’s most recent visit touched on all manner of subjects pertaining to the video game industry.

From his stance on whether video games contribute to violent behavior, to just how sociable a hobby it can be. One notable topic that Fallon raised throughout the conversation was Ninja’s recent transition from Twitch to the Microsoft owned, Mixer streaming platform.

In the September 18 episode, Fallon kicks off the discussion by asking “why the switch, and do you like it? What’s happening?”

Immediately responding with praise for his new streaming home, Ninja expressed that “I absolutely love it, man. I’ve already had a lot of incredible opportunities switching over to Mixer.”

Going into more detail as to what specific benefits have accompanied the transition, Ninja mentioned that “recently, Gears of War 5 came out and I was able to get that game a little early and stream the campaign.”

“When it comes to actually getting early access to video games and being able to stream games for other people, it’s really good as an influencer.”

Closing out the topic of conversation, the record-breaking streamer alluded to some upcoming opportunities through Mixer, stating that “there’s a lot of big things that are in the works with other big, massive gaming companies.

“I want to try to obviously get a little bit more involved in maybe the release and possibly teasing things, and pushing out a lot of that early access information.”

The new partnership could see Ninja involved heavily in the promotion of the future release, similar to the aforementioned exclusive Gears 5 Mixer stream.
