Ninja blasts the US President for blaming mass shootings on video games
NinjaPopular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins took a shot at U.S. President’s claims that video games glorify violence in a video on August 25.

Ninja is one of the most well-known streamers in the world, even after leaving Twitch for the Microsoft-owned Mixer streaming platform at the beginning of August.
The move came around the same time as several tragic mass shootings in the U.S. – and the condemnation of video games as part of the problem by the President.
“We must stop the glorification of violence in our society,” the President said. “This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace.”

What did Ninja have to say?
The President’s comments have drawn a lot of criticism from across the video game industry – which has plenty of research that it can point to which shows no direct link between video games and violence.
When asked what he thought about the claim in the video provided by TMZ on August 25, Ninja seemed annoyed at the idea – only responding “come on” at first.

“Come on, man,” the streamer responded.”Have you seen Minecraft? What’s violent about Minecraft bro? Nothing man.”
“Violence… Violence is not video games,” Ninja continued. “That’s just how it is man.”
Ninja’s comments aren’t too different from what other online personalities have said about the subject, but this could mean the star could find himself on the receiving end of a classic tweet if the President’s past reaction to backlash by big-name celebs is anything to go by.

Ninja’s not alone
Ninja is far from the only personality to speak out about the President’s comments – Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys addressed the fury from video game players about the president’s remarks while reading a tweet from esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau.
“Ohhhh, and you know what’s kinda troll too? That like, we’ve let him say and get away with so much shit,” She said. “And then he attacks… he attacks video games and we’re like “RACISM! I can allow that! But video games? Uh-uh-uh!'”

Now that Ninja has made his stance on the issue clear, one has to wonder about the chances of him drafting a Twitter reply to the streamer as this article is being written.
