YouTube star Nikkie de Jager notably came out as transgender in a video that rocked the entire internet — but her subsequent appearance on the Ellen Show allegedly left much to be desired, according to the beauty guru.
De Jager, otherwise known by her handle “NikkieTutorials,” appeared on The Ellen Show in late March, where she opened up about her viral video and how she was blackmailed to come out in front of the entire world.
While a video clip of the segment has since garnered over 9 million views, the YouTuber claimed that her time at the show was less than stellar, alleging that she wasn’t greeted by her host nor backstage during an interview on a Dutch talk show some time later.
That’s not all; Nikkie later revealed further alleged mistreatment during her time at the studio, as told in an interview with celebrity Chantal Janzen in Dutch magazine “& C.”
According to de Jager, she wasn’t treated well by staff, claiming that she was greeted by an overworked intern who didn’t have much of a penchant for hospitality.
“Maybe I’m being naive, but I expected them to welcome me with confetti,” she admitted, as translated by Dutch-speaking YouTuber Sebastian Williams. “Instead, I got greeted by an angry intern, who was a bit overworked.”
Nikkie even claimed that she was barred from using the bathroom, noting that boy band ‘The Jonas Brothers’ got their very own toilet — suggesting apparent favoritism from DeGeneres in regards to her guests.
“Every guest at Ellen had a private toilet, but I didn’t,” she continued. “I couldn’t even use the closest toilet to me, because it was reserved for the Jonas Brothers… They were allowed, I wasn’t, I thought. Even though, looking back, my interview got eight million views, theirs only got two million. Ha!”

While this isn’t de Jager’s first time venting her alleged frustrations with DeGeneres’ famous show, others have also come out with their own accusations against the talk show host in a viral Twitter thread — although it’s important to note that these are mere accusations without proof.
Right now we all need a little kindness. You know, like Ellen Degeneres always talks about! 😊❤️
She’s also notoriously one of the meanest people alive
Respond to this with the most insane stories you’ve heard about Ellen being mean & I’ll match every one w/ $2 to @LAFoodBank

Despite a blackmailer forcing her to come out after years on YouTube, NikkieTutorials was met with ample support from all corners of the web, giving a heartwarming silver lining to an otherwise dark situation.
