MrBeast has officially surpassed PewDiePie as YouTube’s most subscribed content creator just weeks after hitting 100M subs on the platform.

Over the last few years, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has become one of the fastest-rising YouTubers on the Google-owned platform, having blown through his goal of 100 million subs back in July.

Now, he has secured his spot as the site’s most subscribed content creator, overtaking long-time Swedish creator PewDiePie.

MrBeast becomes most subscribed YouTuber

On November 14, 2022, MrBeast blew past PewDiePie’s subscriber count by several thousand subs at the time of writing, with a total of 111,851,893 on his main channel.

This accomplishment means that MrBeast is the most subscribed individual content creator on the Google-owned platform.

Donaldson became the second person behind PewDiePie to ever reach 100M on YouTube back in July 2022, and garnered a response from the creator just a few short weeks later.

Being that PewDiePie has technically retired from being a YouTuber, he was excited for MrBeast to overtake his crown as the king of the platform, urging him to keep pushing toward this day.

“Come on, I’ve been retired for like 2 years now. I can’t wait for it to be over […] that’s alright he definitely deserves it. I hope he does it,” the Swede said.

Neither of the iconic content creators has commented on the recent accomplishment, but we’ll be sure to update you when they inevitably do.

MrBeast gave away a private island in a competition to celebrate his 100M subscriber achievement, and now, many are wondering what he’ll do next.
