Twitch is a hive for hilarious and unexpected content, thanks to its wide user base and the advent of IRL streaming: but one streamer on the platform is stirring up controversy, after broadcasting her shopping trip to an unconventional outlet store.

Twitch has seen a plethora of NSFW moments in its time, from accidental “nip-slips” and body painting mishaps to livestreamed porn, and now, the platform has even witnessed a streamer’s quest for an adult novelty product.

Korean streamer 토순아 (also known as "Tosuni1") is coming under fire, after broadcasting her trip to an outlet store in search of a sex toy on June 8.

Tosuni is a popular Korean streamer and vlogger, who streams her shifts at a convenience store from time to time.

A clip from the stream shows her clearly broadcasting the store’s wares for all to see, even consulting with a salesperson who demonstrated one of the toy’s capabilities in front of the camera.

Other clips show the streamer raising one of the toys in front of her face, reacting with a hilarious expression at what seems to be an incredibly complicated device.

While some might find the broadcast humorous, others were less than amused by the streamer’s shopping trip, taking aim at Twitch’s TOS for allowing the content to be streamed on the website.

“How is she not banned?” one Reddit user asked. “I thought it’s against twitch TOS?”

"Sex toys are allowed on Twitch?" another wrote. "Or only if the context isn't sexual? LULW."

While other comments in the thread are less than savory, the sentiment is largely the same: users can’t believe that Tosuni isn’t banned, and her Twitch channel remains active as of June 9.

However, Tosuni may have claimed that she never went to the store to seek out a toy, at all: the streamer reacted to the viral clip during a following broadcast, where she appeared to be ashamed of the incident, with an unofficial translation claiming that she’d only visited the outlet in search of a part-time job.

“Who distributed this?” the translator alleged. “I didn’t buy it, I just looked at it. ...I didn’t buy it, that’s unfair. I went there to find a part time job. Someone made the title that I bought it, with the title that says that I went to a sex shop to look at dildos in English. Now I’m known as the girl who went to a sex shop.”

Of course, this would be far from the first time Twitch has seen such shenanigans on its platform, although a punishment has yet to be doled out for the streamer.
