James Charles transforms into Dua Lipa after fans claim they look alike

YouTube star and beauty guru James Charles has finally addressed the overwhelming sentiment that he and music artist Dua Lipa look alike with a shocking makeup transformation.

Although James Charles boasts his own iconic style, fans across the web have been claiming that he sports a similar look to massively popular celebrity and singer Dua Lipa.

In fact, Charles even mistook himself for the artist in late 2019, after doing a double take at a picture of Lipa on the red carpet at the American Music Awards.

Needless to say, his hilarious comparison sparked a slew of other posts analyzing their appearance — so much so that it has since become a popular bandwagon meme across the net.

Thus, Charles decided to acknowledge the speculation once and for all with a humorous makeup tutorial that “transformed” himself into Dua Lipa.

“Now, I will say, the public has never seen myself and Dua Lipa in the same place at the same time,” he joked. “So you can form your own opinions.”

The makeup artist went on to copy Lipa’s iconic look, taking special care to contour his nose to mimic her own nose shape and adding her signature bright eyeshadow to pull the ensemble together.

Considering Charles’ skill with makeup, it comes as little surprise that the beauty guru was able to pull off his first-ever celebrity transformation with flying colors (although his natural resemblance to the singer may have helped).

Even he was shocked after donning a wig in the similar style of Lipa’s hair from one of her Instagram posts, giving a shocked, “Oh my god! That’s Dua Lipa!” upon looking in the mirror, which was then echoed by other bystanders in the room.

“Oh my god, you guys, this is absolutely crazy!” he exclaimed. “Holy crap! I’ve gotten the references, I’ve seen the similarities, but oh my god. …now, I am literally Dua Lipa.”

While the singer has yet to respond to Charles’ insane lookalike makeup transformation, it’s safe to say that the two have never looked more similar. Perhaps he could pull off an impersonation to get VIP access at an event, much like an Ed Sheeran impersonator who scored special treatment at the KSI vs Logan Paul fight in 2018.
