IRL Twitch streamer Trevor ‘Hitch’ Daneliuk had a close call with a passing car during his broadcast, and his reaction to almost being run over was probably the calmest you’ll ever see.

Because in real life streaming merges the real world with the digital one, it’s unsurprising that madness can ensue because life stops for nobody – not even streamers.

Infamous hitchhiker Hitch has found this out the hard way a few times, but a situation during his October 17 broadcast left viewers with their mouths wide open in shock.

The calmest reaction ever

The IRL streamer was broadcasting from a busy city in Malaysia when he decided to cross the road. Suddenly, a taxi sped around the corner at full speed – right into Hitch’s line of sight.

Luckily, the driver saw the hitchhiker just in time and slammed on the brakes. The streamer noticed this, and instead of being freaked out as most would be, instead let out a simple “oop!” before making his way to the other side of the street.

The taxi driver honked in protest, but the Canadian simply kept walking as his Twitch chat exploded with messages such as “Holy sh*t!”, “OMG!”, and “You almost just got f*cked up!”

While most people would probably link hitchhiking to serial killers and murderers, the 25-year-old has no fear and has traveled across 32 different countries and been hooked up with over 2,500 rides, according to his Instagram bio. Now that’s some serious dedication.

You can only imagine how much money the streamer has saved on-air and bus fair by traveling this way too – it’s kind of genius.

Hitch currently boasts over 72,000 followers on his Twitch channel at this time of writing, proving that while many might not dare to catch a ride with a stranger themselves, they’re definitely curious about it.

The IRL streamer is currently traveling across Asia, with Malaysia being just one of the many stops the Canadian is planning to make across his journey.
