Popular content creator and Smash Bros personality Desmond ‘Etika’ Amofah shocked fans after exchanging blows with a New York police officer – and now, the debacle is getting even more intense.

Etika’s ex-girlfriend and fellow streamer ‘Alice Pika’ updated fans with a Tweet shortly after the fight went viral, explaining that Etika had not been arrested or jailed for the offense, but was instead recovering in the psychiatric ward of a hospital.

However, Alice’s update quickly turned sour after she uploaded a video claiming that Etika had managed to call her from his cellphone – explaining that their conversation became “dark.”

Etika’s concerning request

“It got dark real quick, or it felt that way,” Alice stated, claiming that Etika had asked to take care of her cat for a few days. “My heart sank. He was like, ‘Why can’t I take care of Morgana, Magnolia?’”

Alice herself claimed to be “at her wit’s end,” unsure if she were to expect Etika to show up at her door demanding her pet in another psychotic fit.

Despite her fears, Alice updated the situation with relieving news, writing that Etika’s doctor had called and stated that he would not be released “anytime soon” – despite Etika’s claims that he would be discharged at noon.

The history of Etika’s Twitter tirades

Etika’s hospitalization follows a string of concerning events across his social media, with the streamer going on a racist Twitter tirade on April 29, uploading a photoshopped image of himself holding a gun and claiming to be a “god” after writing an Anti-Semitic message.

This incident caused Etika to be detained by police, as caught during an Instagram Live broadcast that saw the streamer being carried out of his home on a stretcher.

Etika later appeared on an episode of KEEMSTAR’s Drama Alert internet show, where he went on yet another rant, asserting himself as the “Antichrist” – leaving KEEMSTAR visibly shaken.

This episode was followed by Etika’s fight with a New York police officer, which was caught on video amongst a throng of shocked bystanders.

Both Etika and the officer exchanged blows, with Etika landing a punch to the officer that appeared to knock him out cold.

While Etika has not been arrested for the altercation, according to New York Penal Code § 120.08, assault on a police officer is a Class C Felony – with a maximum possible sentence of 15 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
