It’s no secret that tech billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is a Twitter fiend – between roasting Fortnite players and his controversial Tweet around making Tesla private, Elon is now asking for the internet to give him their ‘dankest memes.’

Elon Tweeted out the request on October 25, which has since garnered a massive amount of feedback.

“Send me ur dankest memes!!” he wrote, following up with a reply that asked users not to send him any of the recent moth memes circulating social media.

“No moths tho.”

(Spoiler: internet didn’t comply with this request.)

Musk’s Tweet gained a staggering 17,000 comments within the hour it was posted, many of which featured footage from his interview with Joe Rogan – more specifically, the now famous clip of him smoking a mixture of marijuana and tobacco.

Other memes included commentary on Musk’s business practices, as well as his Tweet concerning making Tesla private, which reportedly cost the CEO $20 million in a fine from the company.

Musk responded to the memery in kind, posting a gif from the first Pokemon movie to describe his timeline.

Musk’s Twitter shenanigans don’t stop there: he recently joked about deleting the massively popular battle royale title Fortnite on October 19, likewise taking shots at the game’s pro players. He even engaged in playful banter with Team SoloMid’s Myth, who Elon joked hadn’t lost his virginity outside the game.

Elon’s Tweet asking for memes now has over 43,000 retweets and boasts over 185,000 likes.
