He might be one of the most successful businessmen in the world, but Elon Musk‘s newfound love of ‘meme’ culture is making him one of the most influential internet personalities too, after his appearance on PewDiePie‘s ‘meme review’ show.

On January 27, Musk Tweeted ‘Host meme review?’, and immediately sent PewDiePie fans crazy, as the YouTuber’s ongoing subscriber battle with ‘T-Series’ was in need of a boost.

Sure enough, on February 22, PewDiePie’s meme review episode released, and Musk was there, alongside Justin Roiland to rate the memes too.

Since his appearance on PewDiePie’s popular YouTube series, Musk has been taking his new ‘memelord’ title more seriously.

He even shared a Call of Duty Zombies inspired meme the day after the meme review episode, and is now fully embracing memes all about him.

On March 6, the Tesla and SpaceX founder posted a ridiculous meme of his face superimposed over wrestler and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Of course, fans began responding with their own versions of this meme, of which there are many, all featuring Musk’s face placed on other people’s body.

PewDiePie has continued the trend of having guests appear on his show now, after the success of Elon Musk’s episode, with YouTuber MrBeast the latest to help host meme review.

The episode with Elon certainly helped PewDiePie stay ahead of T-Series, the Indian Production company that continues to challenge him for the number one most subscribed spot.
