Dr. Pepper Has Released a Hilarious Power Rangers Themed ‘Team SodaMid’ Commercial Featuring the TSM League of Legends Team

Dr. Pepper have released a hilarious commercial that features the Team SoloMid professional League of Legends team.

The popular carbonated beverage brand has been a sponsor of the North American esports organization since January of 2018.

The commercial, which is comically named ‘Team SodaMid,’ features players Mike ‘MikeYeung’ Yeung, Kevin ‘Hauntzer’ Yarnell, Jesper ‘Zven’ Svenningsen, Alfonso ‘Mithy’ Rodríguez, and Søren ‘Bjergsen’ Bjerg.

The players initially appear as themselves before turning into red-clad, masked figures whose appearances and movements are heavily similar to the characters of the popular television series ‘Power Rangers.’

The commercial offers some comic relief for the TSM League of Legends team, who are coming off a disappointing performance in the North American League Championship Series Spring Playoffs.

After finishing 3rd in the regular season, TSM lost in the first round of the Playoffs to Clutch Gaming, ensuring them a 5th/6th placement.
