Dr Disrespect turns down $1k to uninstall Tarkov after teasing tournament

Twitch superstar Dr Disrespect teased his plans to host an all-new Escape from Tarkov tournament during his usual broadcast.

Much like many other streamers, Dr Disrespect has fallen in love with Escape from Tarkov and broadcasts the ultra-tactical first-person shooter almost every day.

Some of his viewers don’t enjoy the game and tried to pay him to uninstall it, but, the Doc completely turned the situation on its head, instead teasing more Tarkov content in the form of a tournament.

Escape from Tarkov is one of the most popular games on Twitch.

During his stream on Feb 13, Dr Disrespect received a surprise $300 donation which stated that the donator would give him $1000 if he uninstalled Escape from Tarkov.

The American really had to think about it and decided he had to make a ‘phone call’ to discuss the offer. Of course, this was just one of his usual stream bits, but what he said caught the attention of many.

“Code Red CEO… listen, what’s the word on the Code Red Escape from Tarkov tournament? I need to know now.” He said, before smiling, nodding, and then adding “phew, that’s good news… let’s just say I’m not going to be $1000 richer today.”

Dr Disrespect then put his flip phone away and returned to his usual stream set up and thanked the donator, pretending the stream had heard nothing of the event and jumping back into the game.

This would be one of the first tournaments for the game ever and definitely the biggest one. Although, the question remains of how exactly it would be done.

Currently, there are no custom lobbies in the game and no real objectives, so it’s impossible to say for sure how it would work. Perhaps it would pit players against each other to see who can score the most loot, or who the best survivor is.

Fans will just have to wait for more information, although, as the Doc has already teased something about it, the event can’t be too far off.
