Dr Disrespect on why summit1g’s GTA RP streams are the best of Twitch entertainment

Twitch star Dr Disrespect has explained why fellow streamer Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar is what streaming is all about in a truly rare compliment from the Two-Time.

The rise of livestreaming has allowed broadcasters from across the globe to show off their skills. Former professional gamers like Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins have become household names due to their insane highlights, while streamers like Dr Disrespect have taken production levels to new heights.

Yet, other streamers exist in-between. Those who can excel at some games but don’t care all that much about skits and transitions between on-stream moments – just as long as they’re having fun and bringing their fans along with them. They bring as much entertainment as others, and it’s exactly the reason why Dr Disrespect has complimented summit1g.

A veteran streamer on the platform, summit1g remains one of the most popular on the platform, and has maintained and grown his loyal audience over almost a decade of livestreaming.

Summit has, despite his in-game critics, been streaming GTA RP – giving fans something different from the usual Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Sea of Thieves action. His Charles Johnson (CJ) persona skirts the rules and is all about being an entertaining watch.

That prompted The Doc, on August 17, to tweet: “I’ll tell you, @summit1g on GTA RP is what Twitch and streaming is all about. Entertainment.” The pair have long been rivals, and it’s a rare compliment from Dr Disrespect.

Despite their feud over the years, as the pair have sent cheeky shots to each other in the past, summit was happy to finally get some recognition from the two-time.

“Glad you finally like SOMETHING I stream,” the streamer responded.

While the Two-Time may consider summit’s antics around Los Santos as true entertainment, fans have been pushing him to get involved himself – even though he dismissed those hopes earlier in the year.

When he’s not banging out headshots, Doc’s pal shroud has dived right into GTA RP himself – and has even planned to become a cop, provided he can weasel his way onto the force.

Whether or not they do persist with GTA RP, summit himself likely will – giving fans hours of entertainment for weeks to come.
