Dr Disrespect hints at big announcement on his future – Twitch or Mixer?

Dr Disrespect has put members of the Champion’s Club on high alert after revealing that he will be making a big announcement soon, with some fearing he may be about to leave the platform.

The popular variety streamer has attracted millions of viewers on Twitch, with thousands of paying subscribers buying into the content he puts out on his channel, where he can be seen playing first-person shooter games on a regular basis.

With Call of Duty: Warzone now out and ready to play, which the Doc has praised since it launched on March 10, it would be a real shock to see the streamer link up with the likes of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek on Mixer any time soon.

Ninja Mixer
Ninja announced the move to Mixer back in the summer of 2019 and nobody saw it coming.

However, the Two-Time Blockbuster video game champion has left fans guessing after announcing during a broadcast that something big is not only in the works, but almost ready to announce too.

During a broadcast on March 11, the streamer left the arena wide open with his hint. He said: “Tomorrow we decide what our streaming platform is, ladies and gentlemen.”

From there, the streamer also changed the name of the broadcast to ‘Big Announcement Tomorrow 11am PT’, meaning that members of the Champion’s Club will be informed soon enough as to whether or not he’ll be moving platform or sticking around on Twitch.

Another option on the table for him, aside from signing a deal with Mixer, would be to renew his exclusive deal with Twitch and continue to do what he’s been doing for fans.

Fellow top streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys inked a new contract with Twitch earlier in March, which ties her down to streaming exclusively on her current channel for the foreseeable, and signing Dr Disrespect to a similar deal would be a major coup for the Amazon owned streaming service.

In recent times, viewers have seen the Doc rotate between a number of titles, whether it be Escape from Tarkov, Apex Legends, Fortnite or Call of Duty. Could he be moving over to another platform to play those games in the future? We’ll have to wait and see.
