David Dobrik creeps out everyone with his bizarre morning routine

David Dobrik has shared what his morning routine generally looks like with fans – and it may be one of the weirdest things anybody has ever heard.

Dobrik appeared in a video with Vanity Fair called “Everything David Dobrik does in a day,” in which he goes through his entire daily routine in excruciating detail.

It might have been a bit too much detail, though, as his explanation of his morning routine makes him sound, in his own words, “like a psycho.”

Dobrik has become as big a name as any other throughout his years on YouTube, becoming a celebrity in his own right.

Taking viewers through a chronological order of events, Dobrik says he wakes up about 9am, which is standard enough. However, he reveals that he actually sets an alarm every 20 minutes from 6am because it makes him “feel like he’s sleeping for longer.” Slightly odd, but there’s some rationale to it.

It gets weirder, though, as he describes his day post-getting up. He gets up and goes to the bathroom, and explains what goes on in there. “I take a shower every morning. I brush my teeth in the shower, I shave, I do everything in the shower because I hate doing stuff in the sink. I use kids shampoo, I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember.”

It’s what Dobrik does after this, though, that has got people talking. “After every shower I have, I open my mouth and let the water pour in and turn the shower off. Then, when I hear the final drop, I spit the water into my hand and drop it on the ground, and I’m hoping that it’s louder than the last pieces of water that fell out of the shower.”

If this wasn’t quirky enough, he says there’s one last curious thing about his morning routine. After getting out of the shower, he puts his toothbrush and toothpaste away, but says he throws his toothbrush and if it lands in the cup, it’s “going to be a good day.”

This is quite similar to the kind of superstitions sportsmen have at game time, with many feeling like they have to do something particular before every match otherwise it won’t go well.

For the most part, the rest of Dobrik’s day sounds fairly normal – or at least as normal as a multimillionaire vlogger’s life could be, with most of it focused around his work.

As far as morning routines go, you’re unlikely to find many people as precise or kooky as David Dobrik.

That said, there’s got to be a method behind the madness, as his success in recent years speaks for itself. Maybe we all need to take a leaf from his book.
